In a world of fast food restaurants, it's very refreshing, and welcoming, to have a brand new sit-down family-style eatery within walking distance of home.

In Bowie, Maryland, this WoW Cafe and Wingery is operated and managed by husband and wife Franchisee Owners Khary and Carlitta Harvin.

As soon as I received the email from Khary inviting the PG Chamber of Commerce members to his restaurant, I told my husband, "Baby, we're eating out tonight." How could I resist? Khary mentioned some of my all-time favorite menu choices and topped it off with a booth featuring a flat-screen television. Working all the time keeps me from watching anything other than my computer screen, so I welcomed the invitation. Sure we felt special; however, that invitation is open to all customers as all booths come equipped with TV's -- so get there early!

When we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile from a young lady looking as though she was placed there just for us. We were then greeted by the beautiful owner Carlitta. Carlitta is friendly enough to be a neighbor, yet professional enough to own a franchise which -- by all accounts -- is spreading rapidly across the United States.

Carlitta served up the favorite WOW wings with the Bombay sauce, my favorite, and another basket with the Kansas City sauce, my husband's favorite. If you're not in the mood for wings -- No problem! WOW offers other treats such as Ribs, Catfish, Burgers, Wraps, Fajitas, Quesadillas, Shrimp and more... Oh yes! Do try the Vanilla or Chocolate shake. You will not be sorry.

Visit WoW and treat the whole family. WOW is definiately kid friendly -- No "which fork do I use?" Just serve up the wings and dig in.

WoW! It's all about Food, Family and Service. Just what the neighborhood needed.

The Harvins are also Prince George's County residents.
